Violet E. Studer Peters, 87, passed peacefully Friday, March 11, 2016, in
Bertrand, Nebraska.
She was born March 23, 1928, at Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Margorie (White) and John Lacey. She graduated from Colby High School in Colby, Kansas, and then earned her teaching certificate.
In 1947, she and John Mark Studer were married. He preceded her in death in 1958.
She later married Gilbert Peters.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Goodland. She had worked in housekeeping at the hospital in Goodland.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands; and three brothers Stan Ward, Paul Ward, and Martin Lacey.
Surviving family includes five children Mary Alice Robinson of Jacksonville, Florida; Judy Resley of Jacksonville, Florida; Mark A. Studer and his wife Debbie of Ramah, Colorado; Sheila Bieker of Bertrand, Nebraska; Florida; Bob Studer of Goodland; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 17, at 10:00 AM MT, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 307 W 13, in Goodland, with Father Kyle Berens presiding. Burial will follow in the Goodland Cemetery.
Vigil will be on Wednesday, March 16, at 6:30 PM MT, at Koons Chapel in Goodland.
Memorials may be designated to Bertrand Senior Center, and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
