Longtime Goodland, KS resident, Velta Marie Bradshaw, 82, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in Goodland.
Velta was born on January 12, 1939 in Big Bow, Kansas to George W. and Comilla Mae (Conn) Farr. She was one of four children. She attended school at various places, and graduated from Sherman Community High School in 1957. On June 2, 1957, she married Robert “Bob” Bradshaw in Raton, New Mexico.
Velta was a realtor for most of her life. She also owned an Ice Cream Shop in Garden City, KS called the Peppermint Pad. Velta and her husband owned Bradshaw Angus Cattle Company, and she spent a lot of her time helping him around the farm. Along with her husband, she was a member of the American Cattle Association.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Bob and 3 brothers.
Surviving family includes her children Cyndi (Mike) Hoelting of Shawnee, KS, Robin (Mike) Ginther of Overland Park, KS, Rod Bradshaw of Salina, KS and Debbie (Ronnie) Reed of Goodland, KS. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; Heather (Chris) Handlin, Michael Hoelting, Jr., Clayton Ginther, Ryan (Megan) Bradshaw, Tyler (Katelyn) Bradshaw, Marysa (Justin) McCartney and Austin Bradshaw, as well as 8 great grandchildren.
