Goodland, Kansas resident Theresa Ann Bentzinger, 88, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at Good Samaritan Center—Sherman County in Goodland.
She was born March 18, 1925, in Belfast, Iowa, the daughter of Margaret (Burk) and Timothy Driscoll.
On March 25, 1943, Theresa and Clester Arthur Bentzinger were married in Kahoka, Missouri, and they made their home at Donnellson, Iowa. She had been a resident of Goodland since 2001, where she was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Theresa’s hobbies included quilting, embroidery and traveling.
Preceding her in death are her husband Clester Bentzinger, who died in 2001; infant daughter Cheryl; granddaughter Kara Bentzinger; her parents; siblings Mary Ellen Knox, Margaret Hayes, Colleen Lowenberg, Agnes
Roan, Patricia Hirschler, John Driscoll, and Jim Driscoll.
Surviving family members include her children Dennis Bentzinger and his wife Dorothy of Goodland; Dyann Durbin and her husband Donnie of Springfield, Missouri; Debbie Shean and her husband Bob of New Castle, Indiana; Dana Bentzinger and Cindy Moore of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren Justin Bentzinger and his wife Jennifer of Goodland; Dawn Durbin and Duane Wells of Springfield , Missouri; Angela Valchev and her husband Ivan of Springfield, Missouri; Ryan Shean of Indianapolis, Indiana; Kelsey Shean of Madison, Wisconsin; Jamie Van Voorst and her husband Jeremy of Springfield, Missouri; great-grandchildren Clare Bentzinger and Sydnee Durbin; brothers Tom Driscoll and his wife Alice of Donnellson, Iowa; and Tim Driscoll and his wife Mary of Marengo, Iowa.
The Memorial Mass for the Deceased was on Friday, March 21, at 10:00 AM MT, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Goodland with Father Norbert Dlabal presiding. Inurnment will be in the Evangelical Cemetery near Donnellson, Iowa.
The Vigil for the Deceased was Thursday at 6:00 PM MT, at Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Goodland.
