Goodland, Kansas resident Taylor Wade Finley, 24, died Sunday, November 24, 2013, at his home.
He was born December 9, 1988, at Valentine, Nebraska, the son of Starla (Sherman) and Steven Wade Finley. He attended schools at Hyannis, Nebraska, and graduated from Wallace County High School in Sharon Springs with the class of 2007. He was a member of the Army Reserves.
In Goodland, he had been working at Wal-Mart. Previously, he had worked Frontier Equity, China Gardens, and Subway. His hobbies included reading and video games.
Preceding him in death was his grandfather Hugh Sherman.
Surviving family includes his mother Starla Jackman; his father Steven (Amy) Finley of Henrietta, Texas; brothers Bret Menuey, Haden Finley, Kade Finley, Jerry Jackman; sister Jamie Delaine; grandparents Ben and Alice Finley of Sharon Springs; and Roberta Sherman of Valentine, Nebraska; aunt Coleen Dautel of Goodland; and uncle Danny (Karen) Finley of Beaver, Oklahoma.
The funeral will be Friday, November 29, at 10:30 AM MT, at the Wesleyan Church in Sharon Springs, with Pastor Rick DeWees and Pastor Bill Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Springs Cemetery.
Friends may share their respects on Friday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM MT, at the Wesleyan Church.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be designated to the Taylor Finley Memorial, and may be left at the service or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
