Goodland, Kansas resident Robert Edward McFadden, 64, died September 8, 2014. He moved to Goodland in February of 2013 from Denver, Colorado.
He was born August 29, 1950, at Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Helen Bertha (Martin) and James Hugh McFadden. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School, Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, and from Finley School of Nursing in Dubuque.
He and Lisa Elaine Sheehy were married December 28, 1983, in Cook County, Illinois. He had been a registered nurse and a security guard. His hobbies included watching sports and enjoying his dogs.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother James McFadden.
Surviving family includes his wife Lisa McFadden of Goodland; three children Eric McFadden of Fort Collins, Colorado; Patrick McFadden of Flagstaff, Arizona; Molly Cooper and her husband Kirk of Aurora, Colorado; sisters Ann McLaughlin and her husband Dave of Iowa City, Iowa; Mary McFadden of St. Louis, Missouri; brother Tom McFadden and his wife Dottie of Littleton, Colorado; and nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen, and there will be no service.
Memorials may be designated to Northwest Kansas Animal Shelter, and may be mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
