Lifelong Sharon Springs, Kansas resident Robert Lee Langdon, 64, died Friday January 25, 2013, at the Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby, Kansas.
Robert was born June 29, 1948 at Boothroy Memorial Hospital in Goodland, Kansas, the son of Cleo Elizabeth (Kyner) and Emerson Harmond Langdon. He attended and graduated from Winona High School in 1965. While in school he enjoyed the time he spent on his woodworking projects.
Robert worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation, and at the Bean plant, but enjoyed the time he spent on the farm working for various farmers. He especially was fond of his livestock, having named many of them.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gerald.
Surviving family members include his brothers and sisters; Everett and his wife Rona of Sharon Springs, Kansas, Lucinda Schurr and her husband Bill of Sharon Springs, Pauline Lock and her husband Lee of Wallace, Kansas, Reta Brown and her husband David of Atwood, Kansas, Regina Neitzel and her husband Jerry of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Melinda Richardson of Oakley, Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Robert will be held Thursday January 31, 2013, 10:30 AM MT, at Koons Funeral Home in Sharon Springs, Kansas with the Reverend Paul McNall officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Springs Cemetery.
There will be visitation on Wednesday January 30, at Koons Funeral Home in Sharon Springs from 3:00 -6:00 PM MT.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby, Kansas and may be sent to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, Kansas 67735.
