Rickie L. Windell

Lifelong resident of Kanorado, Rickie Lee Windell, went to his Heavenly Home February 22, 2023, at the age of 74.

Rickie was born April 17, 1948 in Goodland.  He was the oldest of three sons born to Lester Andrew Windell and Naomi Ruth Mangus.

He attended school in Kanorado K-12.  He graduated Kanorado High in 1966 and joined the National Guard and attended FHSU for one semester.  He returned home to do what he loved, farming.  He was blessed to farm with his dad Les, and later his two brothers Mike and Rob.

He married Victoria Ann Denton on June 28, 1968.  Out of this union God blessed them with three daughters.  Rickie was a loving husband and dad.  We cherish all the memories.

He was able to continue farming with his son-in-law Lee and grandsons with the idea of retiring next year, or next year, or the next.  True farmers never retire.

Rickie enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.  He was a born again Christian and loved to tell others about Jesus.  He was generous and kind and was always ready to lend a helping hand or a smile to someone in need.  He is celebrating his eternal life with Jesus, and for that we are rejoicing!  We will miss him!

Rickie was preceded in death by his parents Les and Naomi, one infant granddaughter Faith Victoria-Diane Figgins, his son-in-law Brad Figgins, and his son-in-law Billy Jacobs.

He is survived by his wife Victoria, and three daughters Leeanna Windell, Shaina Jacobs, and Brandie (Lee) Ihrig.  He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Garrett (Rachel) Figgins, Kaitlin (Andrew) Nellans, Sydnie, Rylie, and Zachary Jacobs, Bryson, Logan, Emmett, Lydia, and Vivian Ihrig.  He has six great grandchildren, Gwyneth, Evelyn, Judah, Amelia Figgins (and one on the way), and the most recent blessing Millie Nellans.  His two brothers Mike (Kelly) Windell, and Rob (Diane) Windell, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
