Richard “Dick” Lewis Morton, age 90, of Goodland, KS passed away on January 23rd, 2024, in Goodland KS. He was born on November 7, 1933, to Maxine (Heston) and Ben Morton in Goodland, KS.
He survived by his sister Bonnie Caywood (Alamosa, CO), brother Jimmy Morton (Las Vegas, NV), stepbrother Ronnie Morton (Goodland, KS), daughters Robin Brouillette (Mexico), Dawn Brouillette (California), Carla Brouillette (California), son John Morton (Nebraska), 6 grandchildren Hannah, Sacheen, Shaun, Dylon, Rubye and Arianna, 5 great-grandchildren Zayne, Kole, Vitaly, Kaden and Rylan, niece Jill Cantu.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Sue (Beneda) Morton, daughter Cindy Brouillette, and parents Ben Morton and Maxine (Heston) Rehor.
Dick grew up in Goodland, Kansas where attended Goodland High School and won the state wrestling championship his sophomore and senior year; lived in Seattle, WA, and Denver CO before moving back to his hometown of Goodland, Kansas where he worked in the construction business for many years.
Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing pitch with his friends and spending time with his family.
Dick was a kind, fair and loyal person – he will be forever missed by his family and friends.
