Patricia Flannigan

Patricia Lee Walter-Flannigan, age 80, passed away in the home of Rodney and Carol Bussen, in Wallace, KS on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 1:10pm. She was in the loving presence of her daughters, Carol Bussen and Nicole Flannigan and her first born grandson, Cody Bussen at the time of passing.
She was born on November 9, 1935 in Frederick, MD to Lawrence and Mary Walter. She married Thomas J. Flannigan Jr. in Frederick, MD on June 1, 1957.
Following Thomas's career in the United States Navy, they resided in many places all over the United States until Thomas retired in Fountain, CO in 1974.
Left to honor Patricia "Pat" and remember her love are her five children, Michael Flannigan, Joseph (Sophia) Flannigan, Carol (Rod) Bussen, Patrick (Esther) Flannigan, and Nicole Flannigan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Cody Bussen, Caimen (Brennan) VanAllen, Thomas Flannigan, Carl Flannigan, Lily Flannigan, Brenna Baker, and Ashlyn Baker; one great-grandson: Brantlee VanAllen; siblings Daisy Smith, Mary Beach, Ricky Walter, and Linda Sergent as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great friends.
Patricia "Pat" was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas, a brother Andrew and a sister Margaret.
She will always be remembered as an amazing, loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt. She was a great friend to anyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Memorial services for Patricia will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:30 AM MT at the Wesleyan Church in Sharon Springs, KS with Reverend Paul McNall and Pastor Seth McGregor officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
Memorials are designated to Kids First Fund in Wallace County and may be left at the service or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Goodland, Kansas 67735-1555.
