Lifelong Sharon Springs, Kansas resident, Orval William Fry, 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune.
Orval was born on June 22, 1936 to Lyman Winfield and Ina Mildred (Epperson) Fry. He was one of eight children. He attended school in Sharon Springs, and graduated from Wallace County Community High School in 1954. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960.
Upon returning from the military, Orval worked as a Diesel Mechanic and had a love for farming and tractors. He was a member of the NRA and he loved to play cards.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother Donald and one sister Colleen Barber.
He is survived by his four sisters; Emelie McAlister of Odessa, MO, Arlene (Joe) Henderson of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda Gates of Alabama and Karen (Truman) Haynes of Springfield, MO; one brother Freddie (Sandy) Fry of Myrtle Beach, SC and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
