Goodland, Kansas resident Neil W. McNerney, 75, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
He was born August 29, 1940, in Luray, Kansas, the son of Georgia L. (Applegate) and Gerald W. McNerney. He graduated from Fort Hays State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. He had lived in La Crosse and Larned, moving to Goodland in 2013. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, and Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Beverly Redman; and brother-in-law Donald Kerth.
Surviving family includes two sons Harold ‘Hal’ McNerney and his wife Julie of Burlington, Colorado; Miles McNerney of Phoenix, Arizona; and sister Roberta Kerth of WaKeeney. He is also survived by one grandchild, Emma McNerney of Burlington, Colorado.
The graveside memorial service will be Saturday, April 30, at 11:00 am CST, at the WaKeeney City Cemetery, followed by inurnment.
