Sherman County, Kansas resident Michael Lee Doxon, 25, died Monday, January 14, 2013, at his home.
He was born September 17, 1987, at Sterling, Colorado, the son of Karla Marie (Suter) and Curtis Lynn Doxon. He had moved from Jewell to Sherman County in the spring of 2000.
He earned his GED at the Goodland Learning Center. He worked in agriculture, and various farm jobs.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He liked to have a garden and watch plants grow. He also enjoyed stock car racing, and watching football and basketball on the television. Most importantly he loved hanging out with his brother and sister as much as he could.
Preceding him in death were his mother Karla Doxon, sister Kelley Doxon, grandparents Milton and Rosella Suter, and grandfather Bob Doxon.
Surviving family includes his father Curtis Doxon, brother Bob Doxon, sister Courtney Doxon, all of Edson, and grandmother Shirley Doxon of Beloit.
The funeral will be Friday, January 18, at 10:30 AM Mountain Time, at Koons Chapel in Goodland, with Pastor Brian Fugleberg officiating. Friends may share their respects one hour prior to the service.
The graveside service with burial will be Saturday, January 19, at 11:00 AM Central Time, at the Jewell Cemetery at Jewell, Kansas, with Pastor Dan Daniels officiating.
Memorials may be designated to the Michael Doxon Memorial, and may be left at or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
