Lifelong Sherman County, Kansas resident Luella “Dolly” Wulf, 85, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in Goodland at Good Samaritan Society—Sherman County.
She was born November 28, 1928, on the family homestead near Ruleton, the daughter of Alma (Duell) and Edward O. Middleton. She graduated from Kanorado High School with the class of 1947.
On May 9, 1948, she and Cecil Lee Wulf were married at the Christian Church in Goodland. She was a farm wife, and she had also worked at Great Western Sugar.
Preceding her in death were her husband Cecil Wulf, who died December 5, 2009; son Larry Wulf; brothers Ivan Middleton, Alvin Middleton, and Virgil Middleton; and sister Marie Idleman.
Surviving family includes her daughter Bonnie Zweygardt and her husband Ronald of St. Francis; three grandchildren Lisa Stramel and her husband Bert of Colby; Pamela Zweygardt of Goodland; and Zach Zweygardt of Hays; four great-grandchildren Trey, Brody, Sophia and Cort Stramel; brother Glen Middleton and his wife Twyla of Topeka; and nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be Monday, August 4, at 1:00 PM MT, at Koons Chapel in Goodland, with Reverend Warren Cico and Dr. Chet Ross officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Goodland Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated to Good Samaritan Society—Sherman County or NW Kansas EMS or Hospice Services of Sherman County, and may be left at the service or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
