Bel Aire, Kansas resident John H. Cutter, 68, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born January 23, 1945, at Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Kathryn (Bestgen) and Ernest Cutter. After his graduation from high school, he furthered his education at Electronics School in Denver, Colorado.
On February 27, 1965, he and Sherryl Hallagin were married, and for the last forty years, they have made their home at Bel Aire.
On February 9, 1972, he was honorably discharged from his service to his country in the United States Navy. He was awarded the Vietnam Navy Commendation Medal.
He was a member of the Christian Church, and Veterans of Foreign Wars—Lowell Cole Post 1133.
Preceding him in death were his parents and son Jeffrey Cutter.
Surviving family includes his wife Sherryl Cutter of Bel Aire; three children Bradley Cutter of Wichita; Darian (Joel Fulton) Rohr of Wichita; and Kim (Jason) Jones of Ocala, Florida; six grandchildren; and sister Carol (Richard) Conley of Sharon Springs.
The funeral will be Monday, May 13, at 1:00 PM MT, at Koons Chapel in Goodland, with Pastor Jeff Hanson officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be at the Goodland Cemetery.
Friends may share their respects one hour prior to the service.
