Lifelong Wallace County, Kansas resident Harold Dreiling, 78, died Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Wallace County Community Care Center in Sharon Springs.
He was born September 28, 1934, in Wallace County, the son of Theresa (Urban) and Ray Dreiling. He attended Wallace County schools.
On August 5, 1953, he and Shirley Bolen were married in Sharon Springs, where they made their home. He was an electrician, first working at Great Plains Electric, and then owning Dreiling Ditching and Electric.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother Raymond Dreiling and his wife Loretta; sons Dell Dreiling and Mark Dreiling; and brothers-in-law Larry Wilkinson and Raymond Martin.
Surviving family includes his wife Shirley Dreiling; son Randy Dreiling and his wife Tonya; Kim Hatfield and her husband Brad, all of Sharon Springs; five grandchildren Audra Sis and her husband Brenton, Tessa Hatfield and KLee Jones, Amy Streit, Levi Hatfield and Kim Crocker, and Marci Koehn; seven great-grandchildren Tyler, Aspen, Brianna, Zachary, Jaden, Jazzman, and Payton; sisters Irene Martin of Colorado; Cindy Wilkinson of Sharon Springs; Darla Spence and her husband Wayne of Goodland; brothers L.D. Dreiling and his wife Sally of Florida; and Terry Dreiling and his wife Ginger of Sharon Springs.
The memorial service will be Saturday, August 17, at 10:00 AM MT, at the Sharon Springs Cemetery, with Reverend Paul McNall officiating. Inurnment will be in the Sharon Springs Cemetery.
