Sharon Springs, Kansas resident Gladys Miller, 87, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Greeley County Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Tribune, Kansas.
She was born October 19, 1927, at Haviland, Kansas, the daughter of Lola (Ellis) and Van William Cloyd. She graduated with the class of 1945 from Weskan High School at Weskan, Kansas.
On May 5, 1946, she and Ralph Raymond Miller were married at Goodland, Kansas. She was a member of the Weskan Methodist Church. She had retired from managing a grain elevator at Wilson, Kansas.
Preceding her in death were her husband Ralph Miller; her parents; brothers Harold Cloyd and Phil Cloyd; and sisters Betty Harris, Velma Stephens and Beunola Hill.
Surviving family includes her four children Dennis Miller and his wife Anita of Wilson; Kenneth Miller and his wife Patsy of Sharon Springs; Kandis Scott and her husband Bruce of Rose Hill; Jan Miller and her husband Delbert Sheldon of Baldwin City; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; brothers Dale Cloyd and his wife Ethelyn of Goodland; Van “Bill” Cloyd and his wife Laura of Sharon Springs; and sister Marvel Armstrong of Wichita.
Friends may share their respects on Monday, April 6, from 9:30 until 10:30 AM MT, at the Wesleyan Church in Sharon Springs.
The funeral will be Monday, April 6, at 10:30 AM MT at the Wesleyan Church in Sharon Springs, with Reverend Paul McNall and Pastor Seth McGregor officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Springs Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated to the Greeley County Hospital Comfort Care, and may be left at the service or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
