Longtime Goodland, Kansas resident Eveline Marie (Bechard) Saindon, 100, died Sunday, March 23, 2014, in Goodland at Good Samaritan Society—Sherman County.
Eveline was born June 9, 1913, in Aurora, Kansas, the daughter of Angelina (Metro) and Joseph Bechard. She attended schools in Aurora and Oakley, Kansas.
On August 17, 1931, she married Walter Earl Saindon in Oakley, and they made their home in Thomas County, Kansas, before moving to Goodland in 1945. Her memberships included Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Saint Cecilia Circle, and Golden Buckle Campers Club.
Eveline was preceded in death by husband Walter, her parents, many siblings, and two grandchildren.
Surviving family includes her daughters Patsy Cole of Lexington, Kentucky and Gloria Gard of Huntington Station, New York; sister Luella Davidson of Hays, Kansas; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The graveside service and burial will be Tuesday, March 25, at 2:00 PM MT at the Goodland, Kansas Cemetery, with Father Norbert Dlabal presiding.
