Diane Loretta Roulier passed away at the home of her son and daughter in-law, Brad and Amanda (Aschenbrenner) Roulier near Brewster, Kansas on July 4th, 2023.
Diane was born at the family home in Goodland, Kansas on Wednesday, November 27, 1940. She met her husband Larry in the summer of 1958, they were engaged that fall. Larry wanted her to move to Brewster to finish her Senior Year, but she wanted to graduate from Goodland, KS. She graduated for Goodland High School in 1959. Larry and Diane were married on August 8th, 1959, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Goodland, Kansas. To this union, they welcomed two sons, Marc and Brad.
Diane was a stay-at-home mom to their two boys and valued family above all else. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren Dara (Roulier) and Jerray Nichols, Brett Roulier, Kara Roulier, & Bryce Roulier, and her great grandchildren, Ryklin and Jettsyn Nichols.
Diane enjoyed being the daycare provider for her four grandchildren who affectionately called her Meme. She often talked about how much that time with them meant to her. She was also able to go out to Denver for the birth of her second great grandson Jettsyn Aiden Nichols. She often talked about how special that opportunity was to her. Diane was a rock enthusiast, enjoyed gardening in her later years, was an avid book reader and was known for her love of her “pretties.”
Preceding her in death were her husband of 60 years, Larry Leroy Roulier, her parents Paul M. Daniels and Margaret E. (Crocker) Daniels, her in-laws Amedie E Roulier and Wiletta (Rawson) Roulier, her sister Rita (Daniels) Light, her brothers, Paul “Joe” Daniels, Gary Daniels, and Damien (Kenny) Daniels, her brother in-law Dale Light as well other extended family.
Diane is survived by her sister LaDonna (Jim) Corder of Perry, IA, brother Jack (Nancy) Daniels of Muscatine, IA, her sons Marc (Tina) Roulier of Russell, KS, Brad & Amanda (Aschenbrenner) Roulier of Brewster, KS, her grandchildren Jerray and Dara (Roulier) Nichols of Winona, KS, Brett Roulier, Kara Roulier, and Bryce Roulier of Brewster, KS, great grandsons Ryklin & Jettsyn Nichols of Winona, KS and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be designated to Brewster School USD 314 and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
