Longtime St. Francis, KS resident David G. Rogers, 64, passed away at his home in rural Cheyenne County, on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
David was born January 6, 1958 in Wray, Colorado to Kenneth Gale and Betty Jo (Huff) Rogers. He was one of 6 children. He attended school in Wray and graduated from Wray Community Schools in 1976.
In the following years, David married three times in his life. He married Kay who gave birth to two children. He later moved to St. Francis, KS, married Teresa and blended their families. His third and final marriage was with Patty. They combined their families and much loved was shared amongst the family.
David enjoyed farming, gardening, carpentry, rock climbing, wrestling, and football. David had great love for family, friends, and strangers alike. One of his greatest joys was leading people to and following Jesus.
Preceding him in death were his sister Debborah Gale Rogers and daughter Lindsey Rogers.
He is survived by his wife Patty of the home, his parents Kenny Rogers of Meeker, CO and Betty Rogers of Wray, CO, his children Russell (Kristi McRedmond) of Thornton, CO, Vanessa Wieck Stortz (Crockett Stortz) of St. Francis, KS, four grandchildren; Morgan Haines of Colby, KS, Taylynn Wieck of St. Francis, KS, Emberlynn Stortz of St. Francis, KS and Kinley McRedmond-Fisher of Thornton, CO. He is also survived by 2 brothers Doug (Tammy) Rogers of Burlington, CO and John Rogers (Jane Turnburke) of Meeker, CO, and 2 sisters Cindy Buol of Florida and Julie (Tim) Trahern of Centennial, CO.
