Longtime Goodland, Kansas resident Charlie A. Weber, 84, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado.
He was born April 5, 1929, in Gove County, Kansas, the son of Appolonia (Schaffer) and Frank A. Weber. He graduated from Oakley High School in 1947. On November 3, 1947, he and Eunice Jane Lintel were married at Denver, Colorado. He was a barber. They moved to Goodland from Oakley in 1952. His memberships included Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree; and Elks Lodge 1528.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter Shirley Endres; grandsons Jeffrey Weber and Jordan Amthor; brothers Rudy Weber, Adolph Weber and his wife Grace, Bill Weber, and infant brother Lenny Weber; sisters Viola Weiser and her husband Floris, Florina Schuster and her husband Iggy, and Esther Laverenz and her husband John; brother-in-law Bob Garnhart; and sister-in-law Ann Weber.
Surviving family includes his wife Eunice Weber of Goodland; children Gary Weber and his wife Anna Mary of Milliken, Colorado; Jim Weber and his wife Sandy of Burlington, Colorado; Becky Wishcop and her husband Steve of Berthoud, Colorado; Dennis Weber and his wife Patty of Hays; Debbie Nider and her husband Mark of Burlington, Colorado; Lori Amthor and her husband Jerry of Goodland; son-in-law David Endres of Spearville; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Garnhart of Limon, Colorado; Benny Weber and his wife Kathy of St. Francis; Delbert Weber of Pahrump, Nevada; Ron Weber of Goodland; and sister-in-law Violet Weber of La Crosse.
Friends may share their respects on Friday, July 26, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM MT, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Goodland. Vigil and rosary will follow at 7:00 PM MT.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, July 27, at 10:30 AM MT, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with Father Norbert Dlabal presiding. Burial will follow in the Goodland Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated to OLPH Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus, and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
