Westminster, Colorado resident Carolina (Stegman) Hatfield, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at St. Anthony North in Westminster.
She was born January 29, 1935, at Park, Kansas, the daughter of Agnes F. (Kuhn) and John C. Stegman. She graduated with the class of 1953 from Sherman Community High School at Goodland, Kansas.
On December 29, 1956, she and Douglas E. Hatfield were married in Goodland, Kansas. Carolina had been a hospital nurse aide and a homemaker. Retiring in 1992 from his work with Chevron, the couple made their home in Westminster, Colorado. She was a member of Spirit of Christ Catholic Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband Douglas E. Hatfield, who died April 14, 2008; her parents; two brothers Herbert Stegman and Richard Stegman; sister Viola Stegman; two brothers-in-law Wilbur Cole and John Swanson; and sister-in-law Lois Ann Stegman.
Surviving family includes two sisters Barbara Swanson of Jefferson City, Missouri; Dorothy Cole of Arvada, Colorado; brother Albert Stegman of Hillsboro, Oregon; sisters-in-law Darlene Stegman and LaVerne Stegman, both of Goodland; niece Carol Crowe and her husband Frank of Castle Pines, Colorado, as well as many nieces and nephews
Memorial Mass for the Deceased will be Friday, April 19, 2013, at 10:00 AM MT, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Goodland, with Father Norbert Dlabal presiding. Inurnment will follow in the Goodland Cemetery.
