Carole Irene Jarrett

Lifelong Goodland, KS resident, Carole Irene Jarrett, 82, passed away in Goodland on February 18, 2025 following a recent illness.

Carole was born on October 8, 1942 to Albert and Esther (Nelson) Peter. Carole was a graduate of Goodland High School, class of 1960, and attended Kansas State University. On August 12, 1962, Carole married Rodney Ray Jarrett at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Goodland where she was a lifelong member. He passed away in 2014 after 51 years of marriage. 

They were blessed with three children Jodi, Rhonda and Scott. Carole was a proud grandmother to Matthew (Janelle) Miller, Andrew Miller (Kaneda Hollinshed), BreAnn Anshutz, BrayLynn Anshutz (Cooper Beebe), Nash (Jacelyn) Jarrett, and Keyly Jarrett (Alex Dashner). Staying in character Carole was very proud of being a great-grandmother to Braden and Wesley Miller and Ivelyn Jarrett. Carole also cherished her lifelong relationships with her many cousins. 

Carole worked for Western Bank for over 30 years and helped her husband at The Rodney Jarrett Agency. Carole‘s favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends, traveling, and making memories. Carole loved working in her yard and tending to her beautiful flowers with her dog Daisy Mae at her side. She will be remembered for her large family meals and always baking cookies for every holiday and mountain or camping trip. She never missed a RZR ride with her family. Carole set the bar very high of how to live life, always putting family and friends first. Her zest for life will be greatly missed by many.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband Rodney.

She is survived by her children Jodi (Mike) Miller, Rhonda (Brian) Anshutz and Scott (Tanya) Jarrett. She is also survived by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and her loving dog Daisy Mae.
