Former Goodland, Kansas resident Bruce Norman Duell, 69, died Thursday, January 28, 2016, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.
He was born February 11, 1946, at Goodland, Kansas, the son of Freda (Purvis) and Elmer Duell. He attended Grant Grade School and Sherman Community High School, graduating with the class of 1965. He served his country in the United States Marines Corps, from 1965 through 1971.
Preceding him in death was his father Elmer Duell, who died February 19, 2010.
Surviving family includes his mother Freda Duell of Sharon Springs; brothers Robert Darrell Duell and his wife Amy of Phoenix, Arizona; and Myron Duell and his wife Mitra of San Jose, California; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Thursday, February 4, at 2:00 PM MT, at the Goodland Bible Church, with Pastor Tim Bonebright officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Goodland Cemetery.
Friends may share their respects one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be designated to the Sherman County Historical Society, and may be left at the service or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
